Pastel Painting Workshop-Please Join Me!

I will be attending a Pastel Painting Workshop on March 27th from 6:30-9:00 p.m. & then the next day March 28th 9:30-4:30. The cost is $100 for both days and includes all of your supplies to create a wonderful pastel painting to take home! This is a great opportunity to learn everything you wanted to know about pastels. There will be a lecture on Friday night and hands on -one on one experience Saturday.
The artist who will be teaching the workshop is www.Anneenochs.com. She is a wonderful local artist and I know you will enjoy her! I took this workshop last year and I loved it! So much that I am doing it again!

Paintings of Your Children at Michelle East Studio

Wanted to share this painting that I did of my boys. I just finished it over the weekend! Can't wait to get it on the wall! It is titled "Looking for Spring".

I would love to talk to you about creating original artwork for your home featuring your children or pets. Come along and create an heirloom piece for your family. You won't regret it!

I am taking commissions now! First we will plan your setting, colors scheme and location. Then we will have a photo shoot to give me the reference images, from there we will work together to choose the draft of your painting.

Paintings take 4-6 weeks and can be done on Watercolor paper or canvas. The minimum size is 16x20. Call me if you are at all curious and we can talk about it.

There is lots going on with the start of 2009!
Hope everyone is staying warm since we have
had some cold days here lately!

We will be having some changes to our studio
soon with more details to follow.
One new thing that I'll let you know about right now is
the addition of painting to our services.
I have been working on commissions for paintings
on Canvas and Watercolor for the last few months
and have really enjoyed it!

The portraits are painted with mixed media and are a
compolation of digital painting and traditional. It is a
wonderful process that gives such a realistic look to your
child's painting!

I am so excited to introduce these that I am running
a special for the next three months.

Michelle East Studio Germantown Photographer Update

Hi All! Hope everyone is having a fun December! Seems like we are always so busy this time of year with parties, shopping and wrapping!

Our studio has been busy getting all the orders out to everyone and even doing some sessions

this month!

Just to update, our studio will be closed from Dec. 20 until Monday Jan 5th!

If you have orders to pick up, please call and someone will meet you at the studio

to give you your order! Email and phone calls will be returned within 2-3 business

days.

I have been working on some new paintings - see my website! Beautiful ballerinas have been my muse this fall! I just love the delicate yet strong look these dancers have! I may do more paintings of ballerinas soon!

2009 will introduce some new items for the studio and we will be discontinuing

others. I am excited about the changes! Details will follow in a post first of the year!

We are also thinking about sub leasing some of the space in our studio. It would be ideal

for a manufactures rep. or someone who needs a small space outside of their home. Non-retail.

For more information, please call me! The space has wall to wall bookcases, a storage room and a bathroom. It will include utilities and wireless internet.

Well it has been a busy season thus far and I want to give everyone an update.

We are booked up for the rest of the year - exceptions newborn and maternity.

Now booking for January 2009!

We will be closed for a few weeks to allow us all to spend time with our families.

Dec. 21st thru January 2nd.
